Admittedly this isn’t the most thrilling New Year’s Eve slideshow you’re ever going to see. You know — the kind with, like, people and stuff clearly happening in them.
But for those of you who (a) want to get some feeling for the frenetic energy on Sixth Street and/or (b) couldn’t make it to the fireworks show on Town Lake in Austin on New Year’s Eve and/or don’t know what fireworks look like, there’s about 100+ shots that should do a reasonable job of recreating the feeling of walking down Sixth about an hour before the ball dropped and then watching the city-sponsored light show from the front of City Hall:
