Well, I guess that headline is erroneous–it’s not as if we havent already been rumbling.
But George W. Bush and John Kerry will no doubt kick things up a notch when theyl go head-to-head in 3 debates before the November election. The first such meeting comes September 30 at the University of Miami. Then there will be a V.P. debate (let the obscenities fly!) on October 5 in Cleveland, followed by 2 more Presidential debates on Oct. 8 and on Oct 13 debates at Washington University in St. Louis, and one at Arizona State University, respectively.
Of course, this is all assuming the Bush Administration agrees to the terms set forth by the nonpartisan Commission on Presidential Debates. Kerry and Edwards have already said they’re in. But will Bush and Cheney come to play?
Just out of curiosity–when was the last time George W. Bush stood before a crowd with any major non-supporter presence and spoke for anywhere near an hour?
