All around the web today, I’ve been seeing this headline: Bill Gates Gets 4 Million E-Mails a Day.
Nevermind the fact that the whole article makes it seem like Ballmer is bragging, for some strange reason, about Gates and his massive daily spam pile. I thought this quote was particularly interesting:
Ballmer said Microsoft has special technology that just filters spam
intended for Gates. In addition, several Microsoft employees are
dedicated to ensuring that nothing unwanted gets into his inbox."Literally there’s a whole department almost that takes care of it," he said.
What a shocker–a program Microsoft’s team wrote to deal with spam doesn’t work, and thus they have to apply human resources to fix it.
Microsoft software not working? Wow, never heard of that before.
