Sometimes it’s startling how little businessmen edit their thoughts before they speak their mind. Because any jackass can see that this statement:
William L. Smith, chief technology officer for Atlanta-based BellSouth
Corp., told reporters and analysts that an Internet service provider
such as his firm should be able, for example, to charge Yahoo Inc. for
the opportunity to have its search site load faster than that of Google
Inc.
Really means this:
We’re morons who can’t figure out a business model, so we’re going to think aloud and make ourselves sound even stupider (and only hasten our customers exodus to alternative products) while we basically rely on our lobbyists to drive our business model. Because we hire idiots who could never actually build our business with quality product offerings.
