Where I talk about the move from Dreamhost to Media Temple and upgrading WordPress. Not recommended reading, unless you’re a hardcore geek.

October 20, 2007

This past week, RxSN launched a little variation on Alex King’s ubiquitous Share This plugin for Wordpress that I’ve started running here.
It’s called Share This Deportes, and it’s the same as the original, but with sites like Fark, CollegeHumor, Yardbarker and Ballhype added. If you’re a sportsblogger running Wordpress, I suggest you give it [...]

Look ma, I made TMN

April 4, 2007

I’ve gotten a bit of press and a fair amount of links in my day, but this mention in Todd Levin’s South by South-BEST write-up in The Morning News has to be my favorite:
Did you say panels? SXSW Interactive has a history of presenting colorful discussions on topics relevant for interactive design professionals, technologists, and [...]

Coachella — It’s Alive

January 23, 2007

More on this to come — but the new Coachella.com, which I worked hard on for the last three months, just went live.

Stagecoach goes live…

January 10, 2007

After a couple months worth of hard work, the Stagecoach Festival site finally went live, coinciding nicely with the L.A. Times coverage of the May 5 & 6 festival this morning.
For those of you who haven’t heard, Stagecoach is basically “country Coachella” — multiple stages, same location (Empire Polo Fields in Indio), just swapping out [...]

Recent Projects: ReadyScore

December 1, 2006

Making good on the promise I made yesterday, here’s a bit on ReadyScore, an aggregator we built to provide comprehensive coverage of disaster and emergency preparedness. Pinacol developed the site for a client who was looking to promote their product offerings (which are emergency preparedness-related) while providing a portal for accessing information from sources [...]

We’re Talkin’ Projects

November 30, 2006

Over the next few days, I’m going to ‘explore the space’ a bit, and start talking about some of the projects I’ve worked on recently at Pinacol here on kylebunch.org. I’d love to hear any feedback when I do (even if that feedback is “NO MORE PROJECT TALK”).
For those of you who don’t know, [...]

Hey, look over here….more blogging

May 19, 2006

Don’t think I mentioned it….I now have my OWN blog over at The Listen.
It’s called Music on Mars, and it gives me the forum I’ve always needed to post the latest Pearl Jam video, my raves about all the coolest new digital music technology, or assorted Coachella videos.
Stop by on your web travels….while the [...]

Having a party

December 12, 2005

It’s turning into quite a party over at Blogebrity — in addition to Nick, Angelina, Neil, Hermanns and Johns, the Cowboy just showed up.
We’re just one traffic cop away from a great Village People Halloween costume.
If you could be our traffic cop, send me an email at kyle@blogebrity.com.

Blogebrity’s new threads

October 14, 2005

We launched the redesigned Blogebrity today.  Server/router/ISP issues have me too tired to talk about it in much detail.  But I did the design, and fine-tuned the programming and CSS, which was provided by Pinacol.  And the whole site is powered by Movable Type, in case you were wondering.

TrojanWire: New and Improved

September 30, 2005

Just in time for a tough showdown with Arizona State, we’ve launched a (somewhat)new-and-improved version of TrojanWire.
In case you’re wondering what’s so new–we migrated the site from TypePad to Movable Type, added a sweet new News by Player flash module, and built out a few other surprises along the way.
So next time you need news [...]

New Blogads logo

August 25, 2005

Blogads asked (finally–no offense, but that logo looks like something carved on a cave wall).  So I figured I’d kick in a couple options…

As you’ve probably noticed, I am partial to green; but I figured I’d crank out one in the current Blogads coloring.
Would love to hear any comments, as long as they aren’t [...]

Cloudlog

July 18, 2005

Have I talked about Cloudlog here before?  Apparently not, according to a TypePad search.
Well, Cloudlog is an epic little site, broadcast live from Peru by my buddy Agustin, who’s living down there for a couple of years. I helped him put it together in the aforementioned TypePad, and just got him up and running with [...]

Blogebrity

May 24, 2005

So, it would seem that word is pretty much out on the street–I am one of the people behind the Blogebrity phenomenon spreading the information superhighway over the last week.  But trust me–this is FAR from a solo act.  There are plenty of others that deserve credit as well….first and foremost, the brilliant Jeremy Hermanns [...]

The Gawp Network grows

May 5, 2005

Ok, so been doing some work on the Gawp lately (with my homeslice Juhbuh), and I’m proud to announce a few new sites worthy of your worship and adulation…

No love for The Listen on Yahoo and Google

April 5, 2005

Google and Yahoo both can’t see album entry pages on The Listen, for some reason.
Great, easy-to-digest album pages like this one on Beck, or these on Hot Hot Heat, Brendan Benson, M. Ward, Ted Leo, British Sea Power…basically, this whole list of album reviews (/approvals), complete with mp3 downloads and playlists.
What gives Y! and G?

The Edge City Catalog

February 13, 2005

Introducing The Edge City Catalog.
This has been in the works for awhile, but only in the last couple weeks have we really smoothed everything out.  We have transformed the old Edge City Store into the multi-brand Catalog.
There’s new championship gear from TrojanWire, some really cool new stuff from Hooplog, and a bunch of new stuff [...]

Listen Up

February 4, 2005

The Listen unofficially launched today.  Great album recommendations, free mp3s…it’s the goods.
I will be back soon with a full write-up about the site, after the official February 20th launch date.  There’s lots more to come, and I can’t wait to tell you about it…this is definitely one of the most exciting projects I’ve been [...]
